JULIA and MARIE of 1947
Restored by FMN Publishing
This lovely book is a variation of Saalfield's "Joan Carroll" of 1942. The clothes are the same (but only 4 pages, not 6) and the dolls are repainted by talented artist, Angela Tuite Price. Not sure who painted the clothes, but they are beautifully watercolored, and cute styles, with bright colors. (I think Avis Mack painted the clothes.) The original title on the 1947 version was creatively called "Paper Dolls" and the dolls were named Julia and Marie...so it only made sense to change the title of the book to JULIA and MARIE.
Stapled book is finish size 8.5"x11". Laser printed in permanent heat-set inks on top grade archival papers; covers on 80# coverstock, costumes on 32#. All nice, easy to cut satin-finished. Inserted in crystal clear archival seal-top bag for preservation, storage and viewing.
