Cut and Use Bookmarks
The New Look
Bookmarks Designed by Judy M Johnson
Laser Printed on 100# Cardstock
Every fashion period has some stand-out designs. This one, introduced by Christian Dior following WWII dropped hems, and made women's fashion simply more glamorous. It was startling in it's great contrast from the shorter, more practical and reserved designs that held through the war.
The high fashion artists of these images, have given us a "new look" too, with a new attitude of confidant aloofness, and femininity. They show angles of pose and a bold flippancy to the drawings, all exemplified with the wasp waist, and longer hemline. I like the way the bookmark designs all came out.
I've found 4 drawings by major designers of the time, and modified them with details and backgrounds for an attractive design arrangement for bookmarks.
The designers are:
House of Paquin, Paris, 1950
Jacques Fath, 1951
Rene Gruau for Dior, 1950
There is some room at the top of each design for you to add personalizations, mottoes, or favorite quotations. Great for gifts and favors, for friends, craft and book clubs, and for gift tags too.
Laser printed on archival 80# coverstock. You cut them out from an 8.5" x 11" page. Presented in a crystal clear seal-top bag. (your copies will not have the watermark, of course)
