DOLLS WE LOVE
The Five Sheldon Children and Their Nurse
by Lucile Patterson Marsh
Restored 1936 Merrill book
Miss Marsh was a top illustrator in the first half of the 20th century. Her work appeared on magazine covers and illustrations, in story books, and as paper dolls. And we are glad she did them. Her children are sweet and irresistible, if you love kids and baby paper dolls. The children's names are: Jane (the baby) Chick, Dot (the oldest) and twins Patty and Tommy. The nurse is called "Nannie." The art is sort of timeless...and not dated looking.
There are five back-front dolls, and six pages of back-front clothes. The design was even patented! The dolls are on the back page and their back-sides are printed on the inside cover page. There's also a page with a nurse and her clothes (not 2 sided) That makes four cardstock pages, and six 32# pages; ten pages in all.
Laser printed on top grade archival papers throughout. Short grain, smooth finish, easy to cut. 80# cardstock covers, 32# costume pages. Finished book size, 8.5" x 11", stored in a crystal clear archival seal-top bag.
