a Philip Goldsmith Doll
Painted by Judy M Johnson
for an Ohio UFDC Convention
Now, on CARDSTOCK!
Now and then I think, "this paper doll sure doesn't sell very well" and I discover it's not on the website! Duh. So here it is, a variation of a booklet I made for a UFDC doll convention Ohio Region 12, 1991. It's a doll made by Philip Goldsmith, and reproduced as a souvenir of the event. I painted a book with several color pages, and black and white pages.
These two 8.5"x11" pages are the full color costumes. The idea was to cover 200 years of fashions for the Ohio region, from 1791-1991. The clothes were either designed or worn by real women in Ohio. Included are: a 1785 silk day dress, Angeline Russell wedding gown 1840, Brocade & velvet gown for Kate Cregnile 1892, Balenciaga suit 1948, silk & sequin gown by Oleg Cassini 1991.
