Clever Designs of Nandor Hanti
1925-26 McCall's Magazine Play Pages
Restored Folio Set by FMN Publishing
Some of the cutest, most clever paper dolls/paper toys in the early 20th century magazines, were those designed by Mr. Nandor Hanti for McCall's Magazine. These lovely paper dolls feature front-back dolls and costumes. There are also pieces of furniture, a buggy, toys and accessories, all cleverly designed to cut, fold and stand-up. The McCall family, Mama Betty, her sister Nell, children Betty and "Master McCall", the Twins, Baby & nurse, and two Jolly Friends populate and live through the play pages; all in the very latest of McCall's pattern fashions.
We've learned that Nandor Hanti was a man. A description in a published book of these very same images, said "Uncle Hanti" recommends cutting in such and such a fashion.
Judy has restored the 1925-26 pages to their original clarity and printed them singly as a folio set in a crystal clear seal-top bag. All Archival
