Restored 1943 Paper Doll Book
This book has double covers, and six costume pages. Restored from the 1943 book which was inspired by the night club of the same name which was set up during the war in New York City.
At the Stage Door Canteen, Service men and women were invited to attend to meet the stars of stage and screen. These stars also helped prepare meals, served and bussed tables, and the danced with the servicemen. (or women)
There was another like club in Hollywood, called Hollywood Canteen, which was started by Bette Davis and other top stars.
All archival; 80# cardstock double covers, six costume pages on 32# paper. Stored in a crystal clear seal top bag. Finished size of our book is 8.5" x 11". Not die cut. You cut them with scissors, the old fashioned way.
