PAPER DOLL GIFT IDEA
Hankie-Dressed Paper Doll
I show this doll as an IDEA of something you can do, not a product that I send to you.
This darling doll is from my mother's collection. Probably from the 1930s. It's long been stored in a lovely Art Deco hanky box, and standing in a glass paper supply cabinet in my production office.
I recently opened the box and remembered this nifty paper doll. There are three child-sized hankies wrapped around the doll; one for her blouse, one for her skirt, and one for her purse. If you wish to do this craft on one of your heavy board-stand-up dolls, you will have to figure out how to fold the hankies. I'm not going to take it apart! Hint: There are a few simple hand stitches to hold each one in place.
If you do manage to make something like this, it can make a wonderful, unique gift for a special friend, or just to showcase on your own shelves.
You can right-click on the image and save to your own files for reference sake...as it's not for sale...just here to share the idea. EnJoy!
