VINTAGE WORLD TRAVEL POSTERS
for ATC Craft (Artists Trading Cards)
and Paper Crafting
Here are 3 sheets on 80# archival cardstock 8.5" x 11". Each page has 9 mini posters sized 2.5" x 3.5 which is the standard size for these cards. That's 27 posters in all, and each one different. You cut them apart for your crafting needs.
I have done considerable restoration, and some repainting, and some removing of the copy, to leave room for your own word paste-ups. I left the place names if they worked well with the art....and for variety.
The posters represent the Art Deco era of late 30s into the 40s, thence into the 50s with more classic art of exotic places and the U.S. They are so lovely and inspiring, you may want to start searching for the cost of plane or cruise ship tickets.
Places on the posters represent: Locations in France and Italy, Cuba, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Egypt, Vera Cruz, Alsace, St.Croix, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean.
You can begin with these base images and enhance them with inks, trims, applique's, quotations, etc. to make your own trading cards. They can also be used for collage, scrapbooking, decoupage, mini posters for doll houses, and more. Our Canon archival toners hold up to most glues and mediums.
Here's the copy from a wrapper on a bundle of pre-cut Strathmore blank cards I bought:
* What are artist trading cards?>
ATCs are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade, collect and sell art at "swap" events, in person, and online. It's a great way to meet other artists and share your work. The only official rule is that ATCs be sized 2.5" x 3.5".
