Paper Dolls, Storybooks and Activity Books:
We Never Run Out of FUN!
New Lower Price!
(Consistent with our site-wide price reductions)
This dear little scene was first painted by Queen Holden as an advertisement for one of the major publishers of children's playbooks. Children are happily playing with paper dolls, coloring and activity books, and an alphabet book lies nearby.
It was originally a small black and white, low resolution image cut from an old 1930s magazine. I have always loved it and spent one day pretty much repainting the whole thing, and adding elements for clarity. I love the way it turned out. The colors are soft except for the red, which is consistent with many illustrations of that time.
Standard size post card, glossy finish, limited edition of only 100, so it's sure to become quite collectible when these are sold out.
