You Are Invited to a Costume Party
Restored late 1940s RJ Lilja Book
Fancy Dress Parties, Masquerades, or Costume Parties were the rage for home parties from the late 1800s and well into the 1900s. It did not need to be Halloween for one to have or attend a costume party...it could be any time during the year or for most any event.
Here we have restored an undated Lilja book, with a little girl and a big boy, maybe brother and sister. The covers are the same front and back. There are four costume pages. It's a South of the Border theme as the U.S. was pushing friendly relations with South America and that was reflected in magazines, movies and in paper dolls....like this one...with it's South American/Mexican ethnic styles.
Our book is a bit smaller than the original, but printed on much better quality papers that won't age and yellow like the Lilja books. Covers are 80# coverstock, and costume pages are 32#. All archival, satin finish, fine grained paper for easy cutting. Comes in crystal clear seal-top bag.
